A little about our farm

leaf-divider-line.png

Quarter Moon Farm (QMF) has evolved from its long-standing role as a respected breeder of American Miniature Horses into a thriving, diversified homestead focused on sustainable, small-scale farming. In 2025, I officially retired from miniature horse breeding and dispersed my herd - closing a memorable chapter filled with years of dedication, champion foals, and lifelong friendships formed within the miniature horse community.

Though horses will always be a part of my story, my heart and hands are now fully invested in growing a more self-sufficient, farm-centered life. Today, QMF is home to a wide range of livestock and products, all raised and crafted with care, integrity, and a deep respect for the land and animals.

We now raise quality beef cattle, hogs, and poultry, alongside farm-fresh eggs, herbs, fruits, vegetables, natural candies, and handmade balms and salves. Animal welfare and responsible stewardship continue to be at the core of everything we do.

Our specialty livestock offerings include:

  • Registered KuneKune pigs from the BH Tutaki, Jenny, and Tonganui lines, producing beautifully marked Tapeka Trait, Swallow Belly, Cream, Tri Color, and black-and-white banded piglets available at weaning age.

  • German Sparkly and Celadon quail, known for their uniquely colored eggs in shades of blue, green, and speckled varieties. We offer fertile hatching eggs, healthy chicks, and processed quail for meat.

  • Western Heritage miniature beef, with occasional halves available. Heifer calves are typically sold as future family milkers, thanks to miniature Jersey genetics.

  • Herdshares are available by the gallon from our A2A2 cow, Honey (sired by the well-known Chrome), giving local buyers access to raw milk and homemade dairy products like clabbered milk, sour cream, butter, yogurt, and more.

  • A growing poultry program, featuring Midget White Turkeys, Royal Palms, Muscovy ducks, Cotton Patch geese, and a variety of large-breed and bantam chickens. We offer live birds, hatching eggs, and chicks for those looking to start or expand their own flocks.

Whether you're here for wholesome food, heritage breeds, or handcrafted goods, we’re proud to share our farm with you. Thank you for supporting Quarter Moon Farm and being part of this next chapter.
